What this game excels at is the atmosphere I talked about, unlike the first game where majority of the time you're onboard Ishimura, you're now at one of the stations in Saturn's moons. So, you actually have to use the flashlight that is given to you to survive. Like really really dark compared to the first game.
The game is actually less scary because of some of the newer mechanics and maybe because it's a sequel and most of the time, the thing that scares you is the atmosphere, speaking of atmosphere the game is **** dark as hell. It is a general upgrade over the first game regarding animations, the gameplay, gun feeling, the engine, and the zero-g gameplay. The game is actually less scary because of some of the newer mechanics and maybe because it's a sequel and most of the time, the thing that scares you is the atmosphere, speaking of Goddamn, beautifully written, well executed, well paced all around a great game.
